Creating Services for the Future
Diakonhjemmet Foundation has planned with one goal in mind for more than 12 years — to create the services of tomorrow along with our existing services and new partners.
We are building around 100,000 square meters of new facilities on one-third of our property, including:
- A new upper secondary school for 810 students with a focus on health and child development
- A multi-purpose sports hall open to local sports clubs
- A modern elder care residence with 138 long-term units
- An expanded campus for VID Specialized University and Diakonova Vocational School
- Approx. 100 new student housing units
- A new Diakonhjemmet metro station, universally designed and replacing today’s Steinerud and Frøen stations
We will create Norway’s largest campus for internships and apprenticeships and be an arena to test new processes, technologies and ways of working together.
